Running Your Car On Water: Is It Cost Effective?

by Alan Largo

Cost effectiveness is something that everyone in the current economy is considering and it is important to people on a tight budget.

With gas prices on the rise, the question becomes what is the most cost effective way to reduce the expense and still get to where you are going? This is where running a car on water options become something to consider.

If you get 30 miles to the gallon and you have a 14 gallon gas tank, that is 420 miles for each tank of gas. Seems like a lot and it is, but unfortunately most vehicles do not realize such great gas mileage.

Using the same example, what if you could add an additional 210 miles on to each tank or even add an additional 420 miles on the tank?

At approximately $4 a gallon, that means 14 gallons cost approximately $56 per tank. That is a savings of anywhere from $28 to $56 every time you have to run to the gas station. The actual numbers will vary based on the tank size, gas mileage, and cost per gallon of gas.

How much does it cost to get started using HHO gas for fuel? Well, if you are making your hydrogen generator, it takes a couple hundred dollars at most and a trip to your local hardware store.

Time-wise you may spend a weekend getting it built, installed and tested. Make sure to have a good guide if you are doing it yourself in order to ensure your safety during use.

In regards to other options, you have the conversion kit for running a car on water option. These are pre-made hydrogen generators that simply need to be installed onto your vehicle and then you are all set to go.

These are going to be more expensive and range anywhere from several hundred to several thousand dollars. It is important to be sure to price shop when looking at conversion kits in order to ensure you get the best possible deal.

For a small investment and some time, you can earn a substantial savings each time you go to the gas station and fill up. Instead of going twice a week and spending a hundred or more in gas, you can go once a week or maybe even once in a week and a half and spend half that amount.

This gives you more money to do the things you want to do and can ease a great deal of stress from your life. If you are looking to save money or looking into cost effective ways to fix your budget, consider running a car on water options.

You may be surprised at the savings you can have by taking the time to put in a hydrogen generator in your car, either by creating it yourself or by purchasing a kit.

You are also going to help the environment by lowering emissions and you are using a renewable and abundant source of fuel. Your only byproduct from the hydrogen portion of your car will be water vapor.
