The Google has claimed that its security has been compromised. And after the investigation by US Analysts it was revealed that it was a Chinese Author who is mainly involved in hacking the system of Google.
It was revealed that the spyware inserted to many computers in the world has been entered by two educational computers installed in an institute of China which has close ties with Military.
A Freelance security consultant wrote in a hacking forum that he is working on a security flaw in internet explorer which can exploit the users to spyware and analysts have reports that Chinese Government has access to that data which Freelance has claimed to be working on.
Last month Google said that its system has been compromised. It threatened that Google will pull out of China.
This event of spying campaign has brought attention to technology security matters and the policies of the Chinese Government, who western experts say have been using software vulnerabilities to steal commercial and military know-how.
According to Obama administration they will put high emphasis on Technological Security in Cyberspace
“We’re realising there are other aspects of this problem beyond the technological and that there are other agencies that need to get involved,” said Mischel Kwon, a former US cybersecurity official now working for RSA Security.
Basically the person who claimed to discover the security flaw in Internet Explorer has not done any thing wrong according to Experts of US Security Analysts. They further informed that the person is not a Government Official neither he means to do work for Government of China.
Another team which is totally working independently has traced the origin of Spyware at Shanghai Jiaotong University and Lanxiang Vocational School.
Following is the report from Financial Times which highlights same issue as
Jiaotong University has one of the best security departments in the country, US analysts said, with former government cyber commanders in residence.
The state-run Xinhua news agency said officials at both schools denied involvement.
In theory, outsiders could have compromised both schools’ machines before using them to collect data from the Western companies.
But US analysts said at least Jiaotong University’s networks are closely monitored, making them an odd choice for an independent attacker seeking to avoid detection. In addition, “Our investigation shows the hosts that did the attacks were not compromised that we could tell”, said an analyst involved in that probe. |
