Peace
Again the blasts of explosions ring and reverberate in our ears. The dirt and blood mingle. The terror, the fear, the loneliness and desperation become reality.
Once again the insanity and atrocities of victory/defeat become normal.
Another generation must learn the horror.
We told you, we showed you, the dead ones, and the ones with broken bodies and minds, your veterans. This is the fruit of war. Only the normal/insane inherit the victory/defeat. The new ones did not listen or learn.
The eyes tell the truth of it. If only you could see inside the eyes. Not the Statesman or Politician, nor the General or Newsman or Dictator or Profiteer, or Protestor but the Soldier and Sailor-Marine and Airman who deliver and receive the hot metal. Have you seen the eyes of the refugee who has lost everything? Or the eyes of the child without a leg or hands, or arms lost from stepping on a land mine. Look into the eye of mother who holds her dead child for all to see her agony. Look into the eyes of the orphan who has lost his family. That’s where the truth lives. If you could have seen the eyes that I have seen when I squeezed the life from the enemy! Can you see into the eyes? Can you imagine?
Once again peoples will be deprived of food and water, shelter and medical needs. The best of us/them are lost in their youth. Nature is torn apart. The wounded lay in agony and pain. Blood fertilizes the ground. Families destroyed. Anarchy and looting prevail. Ironically it’s the most innocent who suffer the price.
Did you forget the preciousness of our short lives? We tell you again our human time is so short on our planet it must not be wasted.
Did you forget the smell of death and fire? We remind you.
Did you forget the ghosts of the living dead, we are among you? We love you; this is why we have to remind you.
Again life becomes valueless and the reasons all too noble and just. There are always the just reasons that overshadow the reality of War. This is always the Dilemma/Glory. When War has became the only solution you have lost all that makes us human. There are always other solutions. They may seem impossible but they are not. There is always another way other than killing to the solution. If killing is rationalized as the only way you have been lied to.
Again I tell you that war and killing has never been and never will be the answer. That Killing begets Killing and War begets War and Terror begets Terror. When the idea that killing is a means to preserve life is believed-this is when the insanity has become full blown. When the idea that dying for ones Country or belief is the ultimate sacrifice, and is honored, and the Glorified/Martyr enjoys the fruits of the hereafter. The whole society has become insane.
The truth is that all of us should live and demonstrate peaceful life and living as the true Glory. The Death Martyr Hero is insane. The Martyr Hero who offers his life to the cause has been fooled. For God /Allah loves all of the people and wants them to live a full life not to die. One does not enter Heaven - Paradise by killing and dying but by living and loving.
The gift of life must be revered.
When God /Allah /Buddha or what ever name you call your God, is on your side and the war is a Crusade/ holy war-jihad and moral there is a fallacious justification. I remind you that there has been more killing, atrocities, torture and rape done in the name of religious justification. If we do not remember this we are doomed to repeat it over and over again. Who’s God is right, the God that is on Victory’s Side? Who’s history is correct, the winners? Who are the war criminals, the losers? Who is the freedom fighter and who is the terrorist? When the enemy has somehow became less than human or demonized/evil or smaller somehow you know you have been brainwashed. When you are told the enemy only understands death and they will never stop until your way of life is gone then you have been lied to.
Look at any country or any religion and you find atrocity and crimes against humanity in their history. What does this mean?
There will always be evil men and women but still a man is a man. A woman is a woman. A child is a child. There is no way to rationalize such a difference for we are all the same; human...We are all related in the chromosomes. We truly are brothers...
Ending the cycle of killing and violence will only be done by great leaders willing to believe and understand the only way is to end it for good.
The violence of war was created in our beginnings of history with the enslavement of people. One group found that by enslaving another group they could have power and wealth at the cost of the enslaved group. This was notably perfected by the Greek and Roman Empires and has poisoned our thoughts into today’s age. Now the slaves are the workers forced to work at slave wages so the groups in power can enjoy there wealth. This is rationalized at capitalism. Which has failed terribly? It failed the Roman and British Empires and it is failing the American Empire. The end result is the complete fall of the capitalistic society always overthrown in the end by barbarous violence. Communism has failed as well. Any “ism” is bound to fail if it puts one group into power elite. As long as this type of thinking prevails we will continue to see the destruction of the community of man and the family. We must think in terms of human rights not moral rights. We must think in terms of community and family not country or corporation.
This requires leaders that say no more and outlaw the killing and torture and economic enslavement of the people. This is done by arresting and punishing his own people when they kill or torture or enslave and to let his own people know that they no longer tolerate the killing and torture. Further he will not punish the enemy for there killing & torture but to ask the leaders of the opposition to punish there own people. This is done from a position of strength not weakness. All efforts to stop the enemy will be adhered to but no killing or torture of prisoners of the enemy is allowed. Arrested and tried but instead of punishment they are humanly held with real concern for there culture and religious beliefs, and eventually returned to the enemy unharmed for them to punish there own. Only in this way will the other side believe that the killing and torture has ended. This takes great courage and time. Many good people will be lost until the tastes of punishing of ones own beloved becomes so intolerable that the violence ends. When attacked by an enemy, retaliation yes, not by killing or torture but by other means of strength with understanding and resolve with negotiation. A beginning toward living then starts. This may seem naive but the solution of war is the real naivety
I ask only one thing. Remember what I have told you. If you survive, you must promise to tell the next ones the truth of war and to try and find the leaders who will implement a living peaceful solution.
War and killing is the enemy and holocaust.
Never give up the journey to peace. I know that freedom and uncorrupted Government and true human and civil rights must be the law of the world and wherever it does not exist is where human suffering exists. There are truths that must be believed in order to achieve the peace. These are that man must be considered inherently good, that honor, courage, and virtue are more valuable than power or money. Each government or country must take on the responsibility toward certain rights of all people. All people are equal, and each human has a right to religious freedom, freedom of speech, food, descent housing, and good medical and a right to a decent job. All Governments must be of the people not the Corporations or the rich and powerful, but the people. Economic structures must be by the choice of the people and encouraged to take on the responsibilities to each human in these basic rights or we will continue to mire in the filth of hatred and war. The answers are so simple and yet so hard. Listen to those politicians who speak of human rights over moral rights to achieve the goal.
The Ultimate last act of the warrior is to lay down his weapons.
I have failed you because I could not stop you. Forgive me. I ask you to copy this letter and to give it to another to read and ponder. I ask you to translate it into every language and deliver it to all the men and women of our planet; one at a time.
