Stepping Stones to Custom Size Brochure Printing

by Joel Owens

Brochures play a role in giving you faster and even better return on investment. Direct mailing with custom size brochures is an effective way of stretching out across to your desired audience - but then it would all depend on how you make them.

Good brochures are one of the key factors that can give companies great results, raising them from a bad slump to a ladder of success.

You can easily create the brochure you need to turn your sales and business activity around. Know that brochures are a platform you can use to send out your message and ideas. This can be used as your letter to your clients and patrons with your promotional offers or discount coupons, as a pledge and information sheet in support for a cause or upcoming activity, a campaign material, and more.

These are but some of the most basic guidelines you should keep in mind when shaping you brochure. This should make it a lot easier and smooth-going along the way.

Size

When designing your brochures, always set the size you want to make it. Strictly define your design within the confines of the size you opted for. Whether it is a standard size or custom size brochure you want, nothing wastes your time and effort than resizing your design just because you realize the size is all wrong.

Make sure that the images you need and want are perfectly translated in the space provided by the size you choose. Be always aware that resizing the images affects the resolution or sharpness of the images.

Give Some Space

Place a bleed area for your brochures. Allocate this space and extend your design to at least 0.125 of an inch. These small spaces are a precaution against the blade that cuts your paper. If and when the stack of paper moves, the bleed area is the one that secures all the vital elements of your design are never ever compromised – by this we mean accidentally cut off.

High Resolution

Digital images are easier to incorporate into your brochures. If you want to scan pictures, choose the right resolution setting so you can preserve and maintain a sharp digital image.

Brochures, among other, are a visually captivating material. So if you want to be able to come up with good visuals, your photos and images must always be crisp and clean.

Be Unique

Use your creativity when it comes to just about every detail of your brochure. Carefully add accents that can complement your message, desired theme or concept. Use details to enhance your brochures and not clutter it.

One simple way of knowing how certain layouts and details work is by reviewing several brochures you see around you.

Take the time too to think about all the details of your brochure because this may well spell its effectiveness – how can it arrest the interest of your readers, how it rises from the competition, and how it can deliver your message with impact. So use these tips, among many others, and let them be your stepping stones to make your custom size brochure truly convenient, easy, and successful.
