Playing the Tennessee Lottery

by Anthony Wayne

Playing the Tennessee lottery is a great way to help support your local school system. The TN lottery supports a variety of college scholarships, including a program that pays for $3,330 dollars per year for higher education for students with 3.0 grade point averages or higher. The Tennessee lottery also gives grants to students who would like to attend vocational or technical schools, so you can have fun playing the lottery while still supporting a good cause.

Tennessee Lottery Games

There are many different games available from the Tennessee state lottery. The Cash Four game involves picking a four-digit number between zero and nine thousand ninety-nine. If you choose the correct lottery numbers, you can win between one hundred and five hundred dollars. With Cash Three, you need only choose three correct numbers in order to win five hundred dollars.

The Tennessee Powerball Lottery Game

The TN lottery also offers a Powerball lottery game. This game involves players from several different states, so the jackpot can get really large, especially if there are rollovers when no one wins a drawing. To play the powerball game, you simply choose 5 numbers and a 6th Powerball number. If you match all 6 numbers, you win! You also win cash prizes for match 5, 4, and even 3 numbers. There are drawings for Powerball twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The Tennessee Lottery Lotto Five Game

The other Tennessee lottery drawing game available is the Lotto Five. Like with Powerball, the jackpot rolls over if no one wins a drawing. The player has to choose five numbers between one and thirty-nine. If you match all five, you win the jackpot. If match three or four numbers, you still win a prize. There are three different drawings per week for the Lotto Five game, so you have plenty of chances to win.

No matter which game you choose, the TN lottery can be a fun way to spend a bit of extra cash every week, especially because the proceeds go to such a good cause. The next time you have a spare dollar, you might as well take your chances on one of the many Tennessee lottery games.

Buy Tennessee Lottery Tickets

If you want to buy these or any other lottery tickets, simply log onto your official state website. These sites explain how to purchase tickets, and often times tickets can be purchased online so you can play most state lotteries from the comfort of your own home. You can also refer to official state websites for custom lottery news. Many sites offer lottery number generators to help make your lottery number picking easier for you. If you would like to purchase your tickets in person, you can also visit a local lottery terminal. No matter how you choose to purchase your tickets, or which tickets you choose to buy, you're bound to have some fun!
