Getting Started With Your Nitro Gas Powered Model Plane

by Victor Epand

In today's times, we have model planes so easily available, either in the market or online. We can actually choose the type of model and color to suit our favorite color. Boys or even men, name them anything. These are the ones who get thrills from flying remote controlled planes. For them it is like a dream come true, since those days when they were not successful in inventing a plane, though later with much perseverance they finally created model planes.

And to further their success, they slowly evolved into nitro gas planes, which were simply amazing. The speed and the way, in which they fly, simply leaves you astounded. But, one thing is clear; that these are built for the professionals and not those who are novice at flying model planes. It has to be someone who is well experienced, and knows how to handle the plane. They would not like them to go out of control and crash somewhere. So, one has to be careful and confident.

Nitro gas is a type of fuel only made from nitro methane and not from any oil or lubricants. It is a special mixture, which has the power and output. And hence, having this kind of gas in the tank makes it very dangerous. There are certain precautions that you must take to prevent it from damaging or even hurting you. This gas needs to be kept away from fire. Water should never come in contact with the fuel. Since it is alcohol based fuel, it can be exposed to certain amount of moisture. So be careful. They are normally built with a glow plug, instead of a spark plug. It may also contain a glow starter and a fuel bottle. When a nitro is new, you should not let it run continuously in the first three fuel refills, nor let the engine get overheated.

These nitro gas powered model planes are beautifully crafted and with great skill. They are made with great precision and expertise. The work is so detailed, that you would never say, it is a mini plane, especially when you look at an actual Cessna, and this little model. There would not be much difference between the two, except for the size. To name a few, nitro gas planes are the Falcon 120, Warbirds, P-51 Mustangs, Bobcat Fighter Jets and Jet Planes. These planes can reach the speed of 140 mph and have a magic of their own. Even though, they are more expensive than the normal remote controlled planes, they are worth every penny for hobbyists. Just relax, and let nitro gas planes do the rest. The fun of flying outdoors is just amazing. Fly away, the nitro way.
