One of the main goals of the US Department of Energy is to show the way by finding adequate solutions by which to reduce the country's dependence on fossil fuel and to also do something fast with regard to pollution in the United States. However to make the Million Solar Panels Initiative a success, this program needs to also have an economic component and after Congress issued huge tax credits for individuals and also businesses that bought solar platforms, there is added incentive to switch over to solar energy. And, the state of California led the way with its 3.2 billion dollar rebate program, and the federal government too has joined in by providing loans for solar platforms as a component of mortgage packages with Fannie Mae and FHA also a part of such efforts. |
