Sell your knowledge on the net

by Kamal Kaushal

Do you have something you are good at? Of course you do. We all do.

Do you think there are people who would pay to learn what you know? Again, of course there are.

The obvious way to reach others and profit from your knowledge is to write an ebook. This is a very good idea and can be very lucrative. But in addition to an ebook there are many other ways to profit from your knowledge.

3 Alternatives to Writing an Ebook

1. Write several small reports. Write 7 to 15 page reports on your subject and release them over several weeks before combining them into an ebook at the end. This has the advantages of being easier and quicker to complete (probably 99% of the people who "start" ebooks never finish) thus getting money into you hands quicker. It may also be easier to "hook" someone with your first $5 to $10 report so that they will continue with the next 6 to 8 than it would be if you were to ask for $40 to $100 for the full report up front.

There is also the benefit of knowing sooner if there is a market for your information. Better to find out after writing 10 pages than 200.

2. You could start an internet coaching service. This highly profitable field is not as hard as you may think. There are several very good courses around to tell you exactly how to set up your coaching service and how to find clients. Many people will pay $100's a month for good information and access to a mentor. But the good news is you don't need many. Just a few can make you a very good living.

3. Hold a TeleSeminar or Webinar. This is a good way to interact with a large group of (paying!) customers all at once and has a very personal feel to it. Your customers can ask questions and air their feelings while listening to you and others. Many people will pay $100's a month for good information and access to a mentor. But the good news is you don't need many. Just a few can make you a very good living.

Why Do Just One

The great thing about the alternatives above and the internet in general is that you need not limit yourself to any one. You can easily do all of them.

In the past, when an author wrote a successful book he was limited in the ways he could cash in on his good fortune. No longer. If you write a small report that starts to sell, you can immediately start on the second small report while scheduling a webinar to discuss the first one. The webinar will give you ideas for more reports and after you have 6 or 7 you can combine them into that ebook you wanted to write in the first place.
Meanwhile, if the subject proves popular and it is appropriate, you can offer your coaching services to a select group of customers for a premium.

Anyone who "just" writes an ebook, can make a good living, but is often "leaving money on the table".
