If Want Him Back, You Need to Be His Friend

by Teecee Go

When your boyfriend leaves you unexpectedly, you may feel like nothing will be right again. In fact, you may want him back so those feelings of loneliness will go away. Loneliness hurts more when you have been in love. Why? Love makes you feel like those old clichés you have heard so much about. You know the ones… on top of the world and on cloud nine.

If those feelings seem to coincide with a new relationship for your beau, you can feel the situation is even more hopeless. However, if his new relationship is just starting out, then by doing some simple things it can boost your chances of getting him back into your life and arms.

Do you feel you are partially to blame for the break up? If so, then you need to know that you should make penance before you go any further to getting him back. Despite the fact that you feel pain with his moving on rather rapidly, it is still best for your sense of being to apologize although it should not be so complicated and long. It needs to be short, sweet and to the point.

Sometimes to want him back means doing something you may have not ordinarily done: maintaining a relationship with him despite his new relationship. Be the ex he can count on, be his friend. Listen to his troubles whether it is with his new lady or everyday life. Being friends with him may hurt and bring untold amounts of pain but this new “relationship” brings a bit of appreciation from him to assume there are no hard feelings. Remember that how you act will determine how your friendship with your ex boyfriend will end up going.

While you want to be with your boyfriend as much as possible, you also need to steer clear every now and then. There may be times that you want to be with him but he denies your requests due to obligations already in place. Don’t fret. If you overreact then you can destroy what you have managed to accomplish so far. Just try to act like it is okay that he doesn’t spend that time with you. You can do more by doing less.

While you want to try and be there for him at any second, you should not stalk him. By making yourself unavailable from time to time makes him wonder what you are doing to pass your time. He may just want to talk but still being available all the time is suspicious and can set back what you are trying to accomplish.

When you want him back in your life, the best thing you can do is not saying how you feel right off. By being friends, it is best to be there for him and pick up the pieces should something in his life goes wrong. You don’t want to be overly available but you don’t want to be under available either.
