If you are someone who does business online, you might find that you are still in a place where you can support local industry while simultaneously making sure that you can support yourself as well!

When you are looking to make sure that you can get the business that you need, you'll find that you can also take a look around and make sure that some of the money that is going through your hands will find its way into your local economy as well.

When you have an online business, you'll find that there is a fair amount of money that is coming in from many different places. You may be taking orders from out of town, out of state, or even out of the country and overseas. With this in mind, make sure that you take the time to spend some if not all of your money locally.

Even if you shop at larger chains, you'll find that shopping locally can make a difference, and as they say, every bit counts! When you want to make sure that it gets even more local than that, take a look at buying all of your food locally, whether you join in with a community sponsored agriculture group or simply head to your local farmer's market.

When you put together your page, you might want to make it very obvious where you are from and what is interesting and unique about your home area. There is a reason you live there, so make sure that everyone else knows it too.

This is a powerful way to make sure that people know what they are getting into when they are looking to see what you do, and you'll find that with just a little bit of time and effort that you will be able to bulk up your local business as well.

When you are looking to make sure that you are invested and committed to local business, take the time to hop onto social networking sites like MySpace or Facebook. Once you are on there, you might be surprised at all of the local businesses that have sites.

Make sure that they link to you, and get active on their forums and discussions. The more the merrier, and you'll find that there are plenty of reasons to do this once you notice that they are sending business your way as well!

When you want to make sure that you are making a contribution to local business, take the time to really consider what you have to look forward to, and what you can do to really be a part of your local community!
